Pat McLaughlin - President
President and founder of The Timothy Group, Pat McLaughlin has personally assisted more than 1,000 Christian organizations.
Offering clients a wealth of business world, pastorate and mission field experience, Pat has completed successful campaigns in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Pat was privileged to travel to China with the Christian Band, Far from Luke, and had the opportunity to preach the gospel there for 10 days. He specializes in major donor programs, board training, strategic planning, capital and annual campaigns, and marketing and image campaigns.
He serves on the national faculty of the Christian Management Institute, Christian Camp and Conference Association, and is a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Christians Schools International, Stewardship Services, the Association of Christian Schools International and Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA). In February 2005, he received an Outstanding Service Award from the CLA national board.
Pat is a graduate of Denver Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Jane are active members of Kentwood Community Church in suburban Grand Rapids, MI. He has long been a Sunday School teacher, Little League coach and a Michigan High School Association baseball and softball umpire. |
Donald G. Distelberg, CFRE - Senior Vice President
Through previous leadership positions with the United Way of Kent County, Calvin College & Seminary and his own firm, Don has gained expertise in capital campaigns and pre-campaign studies, annual fund raising, planned giving, schools' enrollment growth plans, board training, development/organizational audits, strategic planning, major donor strategies and church campaigns.
Don leads workshops for such organizations as the Association of Christian Schools International, Association of Biblical Higher Education, Barnabas Foundation, Christian Schools International, Christian Camp and Conference Association, Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA) and the Robert Schuller Institute for Successful Church Leadership.
A graduate of Calvin College, Don is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a designation of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He and his wife Natalie are active members of the Sunshine Community Church in Grand Rapids, MI. |
Ron Haas - Vice President
Ron Haas brings a wide variety of fund raising experiences to his role as a Consultant with The Timothy Group.
At the Salt & Light Foundation, he consulted with pro-life ministries on strategic planning, board training and comprehensive fund raising strategies. As Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Faith Baptist College in Ankeny, Iowa, Ron led development efforts including marketing, phonathon and major donor solicitation.
Stewardship has been a key focus of Ron's ministry. He led an Iowa congregation to a new facility that doubled the auditorium and educational space. He has served as a board member of a Christian camp, a Bible college and Penngift Foundation, a nonprofit scholarship organization.
Ron teaches an adult congregation at Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he and his wife Cynthia are active members. |
John T. Schroeder - Vice President
A Consultant with The Timothy Group, John Schroeder offers clients more than 20 years of experience in financial development.
His previous positions include responsibilities in corporate sales and employment counseling as a business owner. He has been a Salvation Army Service Extension Director, a Salvation Army Divisional Development Director and Director of Advancement for the Acton Institute, an educational think tank.
This experience has given John special expertise in annual giving, capital campaigns, major donor solicitation, planned giving, foundation solicitation, public relations, direct mail, volunteer management, special events, web site development and team leading.
John attended Tulane University, where he pursued undergraduate studies in Engineering. He and his wife Margaret are members (soldiers) of the Grand Rapids Salvation Army Fulton Heights Corps. |
